Principal Project Engineer

About the role

The Principal Project Engineer will lead the delivery of state‑of‑the‑art automation technology for CooperVision’s global packaging and distribution operations. This full‑time, on‑site position is responsible for end‑to‑end project management, from initiation through post‑implementation, ensuring projects meet time, cost and quality targets.

Key responsibilities

• Appraise, specify, develop, commission and test new and existing automated production systems.
• Lead selection of equipment and vendors, managing global projects to deliver validated, robust processes.
• Conduct safety, compliance, capability and validation assessments in line with FDA and medical‑device regulations.
• Mentor technical staff, manage design history files and drive FMEA and design‑review processes.

Required profile

• Proven ability to solve complex technical problems and assess risk.
• Experience leading global, multi‑disciplinary teams and travelling internationally.
• Self‑motivated, detail‑oriented and able to deliver under pressure.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
