Principal Software Engineer (Hybrid)

About the role

We are looking for a Principal Software Engineer to lead the design and delivery of a brand‑new, large‑scale platform. This senior, hands‑on role sits at the heart of an AI‑first engineering team and offers genuine autonomy to shape technology decisions, standards and long‑term strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the architecture and implementation of scalable backend services, APIs and data flows.
• Collaborate with product owners and senior stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Define and enforce engineering standards, coding practices and AI‑assisted development workflows.
• Mentor and guide engineers across the team, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
• Contribute to full‑stack development, working with modern frontend frameworks and cloud infrastructure.

• Proven senior‑level experience delivering complex software systems.
