Private Client Paralegal – Leading Legal 500 Firm

About the role

We are seeking an ambitious Private Client Paralegal to join the expanding Private Client team of a long‑established, award‑winning London law firm recognised in the Legal 500 and Times Best UK Firm. The role offers exposure to high‑quality private client work, including wills, probate, estate administration, trusts and lasting powers of attorney, within a supportive and collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing wills, lasting powers of attorney, trust documentation and deeds of severance.
• Support probate and estate administration, including preparing probate applications and inheritance tax forms.
• Liaise with clients, executors, beneficiaries, banks, HMRC and other third parties.
• Prepare applications to the Probate Registry and Office of the Public Guardian.
• Assist with client onboarding, AML compliance and file management.
• Draft correspondence, attendance notes and legal documentation.
• Monitor key dates and progress matters efficiently.
• Provide day‑to‑day support to experienced Private Client fee earners.

Required profile

• Minimum one year of experience as a Private Client Paralegal or in a related legal support role.
• Experience assisting with wills, probate, estate administration, trusts or lasting powers of attorney.
• Excellent communication and client‑care skills.
• Strong organisational abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritise a busy workload and meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with a legal case management system.
