Private Client Tax Advisory Manager (CTA)

About the role

Clearcut Accountancy is seeking an experienced Chartered Tax Adviser to lead private client tax advisory work. The role focuses on high‑value planning rather than routine compliance, allowing you to add real commercial value for entrepreneurs, owner‑managed businesses and high‑net‑worth individuals.

Key responsibilities

• Provide tailored tax planning advice to private clients and owner‑managed businesses.
• Advise on Inheritance Tax planning, including estate and lifetime strategies.
• Support clients with trusts and succession planning matters.
• Deliver property tax advice on acquisitions, disposals and ownership structures.
• Identify tax efficiencies and proactive planning opportunities.
• Manage complex advisory assignments from instruction through to delivery.
• Build strong, trusted relationships with clients and professional contacts.
• Explain technical tax matters clearly and commercially.
• Contribute to the growth and development of the firm’s advisory services.

Required profile

• CTA qualified (Chartered Tax Adviser).
• Minimum five years recent experience delivering tax planning and advisory work.
• Strong technical knowledge of private client tax, Inheritance Tax, trusts and property tax.
• Ability to manage complex advisory work with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Commercial awareness and a proactive, solutions‑focused approach.
