Probate Paralegal

About the role

We are supporting a respected law firm in Eltham that is expanding its Private Client team. The successful candidate will work closely with experienced solicitors, handling a varied caseload of probate and estate administration matters while developing their own portfolio under supervision.

Key responsibilities

• Assist solicitors with probate and estate administration matters.
• Prepare legal documents, correspondence and client communications.
• Support applications for Grants of Probate and Letters of Administration.
• Liaise with clients, beneficiaries, financial institutions and third parties.
• Maintain accurate client files and ensure compliance requirements are met.
• Carry out estate administration tasks from instruction through to completion.
• Provide high‑level client care throughout sensitive matters.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Probate Paralegal or within a Private Client department.
• Strong understanding of probate and estate administration processes.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Professional, empathetic approach when dealing with clients.
• Ability to manage priorities in a busy legal environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience using legal case management systems.
