Procurement Manager – FMCG Food & Drinks Manufacturer

About the role

We are partnering with a fast‑growing food and drinks manufacturer in Liverpool to appoint a Procurement Manager. The role will shape the sourcing strategy, drive cost savings and ensure a reliable supply of ingredients and packaging for the business.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end procurement for core ingredients and packaging, maintaining stock levels to keep manufacturing running.
• Lead supplier negotiations across all categories, securing best price, terms, quality and continuity of supply.
• Monitor commodity and market trends to forecast pricing movements and supply‑chain risks, identifying commercial opportunities.
• Partner with New Product Development to source and integrate new ingredients quickly.
• Work with Finance to track procurement‑driven cost and margin impact.
• Establish and maintain procurement KPIs and dashboards, providing strategic insight to senior leadership.

Required profile

• Proven experience in procurement and supply‑chain management within the FMCG industry.
• Experience sourcing raw materials, particularly ingredients and packaging.
• Strong negotiation and supplier‑management abilities.
• Knowledge of procurement systems and tools.
• Ability to analyse data and market trends to make informed decisions.
• Excellent organisational and leadership capabilities.
