About the role
BRE is seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to lead strategic sourcing and supplier partnership initiatives. This role will support innovation, sustainability and value creation across the organisation, working closely with senior stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement a procurement strategy aligned with sustainability, innovation and long‑term organisational goals.
- Partner with business units to manage supplier selection, contract negotiations and long‑term partnerships for research, certification, consultancy and central services.
- Design, implement and optimise procurement processes to ensure consistency, compliance and operational excellence.
- Oversee day‑to‑day purchasing operations, guaranteeing timely sourcing of goods and services.
- Monitor procurement KPIs, supplier performance, cost savings, quality, delivery and ESG metrics while maintaining accurate records.
- Ensure compliance with public procurement regulations, internal policies and ethical sourcing standards.
- Lead ISO audit activities, maintain documentation and support continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with internal teams to provide guidance, communicate performance and drive sustainable procurement practices.
Required profile
- Significant procurement experience in research, certification, consultancy or similarly complex organisations.
- Contract management experience for technical services, laboratory equipment or sustainability‑focused suppliers.
- Strong knowledge of ISO standards, sustainability frameworks and relevant regulations.
- Proven negotiation, stakeholder engagement and supplier management skills.
- Understanding of public procurement principles, frameworks and contract law.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to balance cost, quality and ESG objectives.
- CIPS qualification (MCIPS) or equivalent professional experience preferred.
- Degree in procurement, supply chain, sustainability or business management is desirable.
