Procurement Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Procurement Manager to lead procurement activities across multiple construction projects in Medway. The role will own the end-to-end process for subcontractor, consultant and supplier packages, ensuring timely delivery, budget compliance and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the full procurement cycle for subcontractor, consultant and supplier packages across live and pre-construction projects.
• Prepare and issue tender enquiries, analyse returns and produce detailed comparisons.
• Negotiate scope, rates, commercial terms and programme requirements with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Identify risks, gaps and exclusions prior to contract award and ensure alignment with project programmes and budgets.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, subcontractors and internal project teams.
• Monitor procurement schedules, flag risks and drive cost-saving and value-engineering opportunities.

Required profile

• Proven procurement experience within the construction sector.
• Strong background in subcontractor procurement packages and tendering.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent stakeholder and communication skills with high attention to detail.
• Full UK driving licence.
