Procurement Manager – Part‑time Fixed‑Term (12 months)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Procurement Manager to join a client on a part‑time, 12‑month fixed‑term basis in the Bath/Somerset area. The role will ensure that services such as building maintenance, cleaning and energy provision are delivered through high‑quality, cost‑effective contracts.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the end‑to‑end procurement cycle, from planning and sourcing to contract negotiation and supplier management.
• Manage a diverse portfolio of contracts covering building maintenance, cleaning services and energy supply.
• Develop specifications and tender documentation in collaboration with internal teams.
• Maintain accurate, auditable records and an up‑to‑date contracts register.
• Ensure compliance with the Procurement Act 2023 for both above‑ and below‑threshold contracts.
• Drive continuous improvement, value for money and ethical, local sourcing priorities.

Required profile

• CIPS Level 4 qualification (minimum) with solid public‑sector procurement experience.
• Strong knowledge of the Procurement Act 2023 and the full procurement cycle.
• Ability to work strategically while remaining hands‑on.
