Production Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Production Manager to support the Factory Manager in running our Dartford manufacturing facility. This hands‑on leadership position ensures production targets are met while upholding quality, safety and efficiency standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning, coordinating and monitoring daily production activities to meet KPIs and delivery schedules.
• Identify workflow improvements and support lean manufacturing initiatives.
• Supervise production staff, team leaders and supervisors; oversee recruitment, training and performance reviews.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, conduct audits, risk assessments and toolbox talks.
• Work with the Quality team to maintain product standards and drive root‑cause analysis.
• Support preventative maintenance schedules and collaborate with engineering on equipment performance.
• Lead continuous‑improvement projects focused on productivity, quality, safety and waste reduction.

Required profile

• Previous supervisory or management experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong leadership and people‑management abilities.
• Good understanding of production planning and manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
• Excellent organisational, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
