Production Manager

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Production Manager to lead our multi‑shift team at a fast‑growing precision engineering manufacturer serving the automotive sector. You will be responsible for driving safety, quality, delivery and productivity while collaborating closely with engineering, quality, purchasing and warehousing functions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a multi‑shift production workforce.
• Plan resources and schedules to maximise efficiency and meet customer demand.
• Monitor key performance indicators and champion continuous‑improvement projects.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and quality standards across the shop floor.
• Work closely with Engineering, Quality, Purchasing and Warehousing to resolve issues and optimise processes.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a fast‑paced manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Strong leadership ability with a track record of motivating and developing teams.
• Organised, proactive and results‑focused mindset.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience with lean manufacturing or continuous‑improvement methodologies is advantageous.
