Production Operative (Masker) – Temp to Perm

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Masker to join a reputable engineering company in Woking. The position starts on a day shift for training and then moves to a late shift (3 pm‑9 pm, Monday‑Friday) on a temporary‑to‑permanent basis.

Key responsibilities

• Precisely mask and de‑mask customer products during coating processes.
• Perform cleaning, surface preparation and visual inspection of parts.
• Maintain clean‑room standards and adhere to PPE and hygiene protocols.
• Record work and follow detailed work instructions.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Masker or in a similar manufacturing role.
• Ability to work seated for extended periods and follow detailed procedures.
• Good basic literacy and numeracy, with the ability to perform simple calculations.
• Clear spoken and written English.

Required skills

• Masking and de‑masking techniques.
• Surface preparation and inspection.
• Understanding of clean‑room protocols and PPE usage.
• Colour identification (red, orange, yellow, blue, green, violet).
