Production Operator - Fresh Produce (Backshift)

About the role

Albert Bartlett, a leading name in the potato industry since 1948, is recruiting a Production Operator for its fresh produce line in Airdrie, Scotland. You will work the backshift, keeping the production line running and ensuring products meet fresh and premium standards. Working hours are Monday to Thursday 5:00 PM to 1:00 AM and Sunday 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor production machinery to process fresh potato products efficiently.
• Maintain strict adherence to safety, hygiene and quality standards throughout production.
• Inspect products for freshness and compliance with company specifications.
• Clean and maintain production equipment regularly.
• Record production data accurately and report issues to supervisors.
• Work with the team to meet production targets and keep up with training and safety procedures.

Required profile

• Prior experience in a production or manufacturing environment, ideally in the food sector.
• Ability to work backshift hours and adapt to varying production demands.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment while following health and safety rules.

Required skills

• High attention to detail for product quality and safety.
• Basic mechanical aptitude is beneficial for equipment maintenance.
