Production Planner – Factory

About the role

We are looking for a Production Planner to support the Factory Manager in a busy manufacturing environment. The role involves allocating jobs, managing lead times and ensuring high‑quality output while meeting customer delivery commitments.

Key responsibilities

• Use the bespoke SAP system to allocate production jobs to available stock and machinery.
• Manage production lead times efficiently through optimal use of resources.
• Collaborate with operatives to ensure timely, high‑quality order fulfilment.
• Coordinate with the Customer Services Manager to prioritise production according to delivery requirements.
• Supervise health and safety standards throughout the factory.
• Handle stock picking, storage processes and complete order confirmations as needed.

Required profile

• Quick learner with the ability to adapt swiftly.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a flexible, proactive approach.
• Strong commitment to meeting customer deadlines.
• Good command of English and solid numeracy skills.

Required skills

• SAP (experience advantageous but not essential).
• General IT proficiency.
