Project Manager – Financial Services

About the role

IBM Consulting UK FutureNow is looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead cross‑functional teams delivering custom development solutions or managing application maintenance and support for financial‑services clients. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope and budget while meeting business and contractual requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead cross‑functional project teams, including IBM staff, client employees and third‑party vendors.
• Plan, monitor and control project scope, schedule, budget and resources.
• Develop and execute communication plans, providing regular status updates to stakeholders.
• Ensure delivery meets business requirements, quality standards and contractual obligations.
• Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities for project management processes and methodologies.

Required profile

• Proven experience in project management, preferably in IT or financial‑services environments.
• Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.
• Strong organisational, time‑management and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Bachelor’s degree (preferred) and a passion for continuous improvement.
