Project Manager – New Build School (Essex)

About the role

We are looking for a Project Manager to lead a circa £25 million new‑build school project in Essex. The scheme is about to start on site and is expected to be completed by January 2028. This is a temporary‑to‑permanent position lasting a minimum of 12 months or until the project finishes.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the entire construction process to ensure smooth delivery.
• Manage on‑site labour forces and subcontractors.
• Control the programme, monitor progress and eliminate potential delays.
• Coordinate health, safety and quality compliance on the site.

Required profile

• Background in civil engineering, trades or construction management.
• Proven experience managing projects of similar scale and budget.
• Highly motivated, able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Required skills

• CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) card.
• SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) certification.
• First Aid certification.
