Project Manager – Solar PV & Battery Storage

About the role

Join The Little Green Energy Company, a leading solar PV, battery storage and EV charging specialist in Kent and the South‑East. As a Project Manager you will own projects from contract award through to commissioning and hand‑over, ensuring safe, efficient delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and manage end‑to‑end solar PV and battery storage projects, including programmes, resources, procurement and design approvals.
• Lead on‑site installation teams and subcontractors, run progress meetings and drive quality, safety and efficiency.
• Own project budgets, margins, cost control, forecasting, variations and valuations.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, subcontractors and DNOs, handling contracts and issue resolution.
• Report progress, risks and financial performance to the Head of Operations and senior leadership.

Required profile

• 3+ years experience in solar PV and/or battery storage, with at least 2 years managing projects end‑to‑end.
• Proven track record delivering commercial‑scale projects safely, on time and within budget.
• Full UK driving licence.

Required skills

• Technical knowledge of G98/G99 DNO processes, MCS, BS 7671 and CDM 2015.
• Health & safety qualifications such as SMSTS, IOSH or NEBOSH, plus CSCS and First Aid.
• Project management certification (PRINCE2, APM or PMP) is a plus.
• Relevant electrical qualifications (City & Guilds, NVQ, 18th Edition or Part P).
• Renewable energy qualifications such as BPEC.
