Project Manager – Technical Infrastructure & Construction

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of bespoke technical infrastructure and construction projects for a specialist design‑and‑build business based in the Oxford area. You will own end‑to‑end project delivery, working closely with internal experts and external partners to bring complex, high‑value schemes from concept to completion.

Key responsibilities

• Use recognised project management frameworks (APM, PRINCE2) to structure and control projects from initiation through handover.
• Scope and initiate projects, test feasibility and define budgets, resources and delivery plans.
• Create detailed project schedules and Gantt charts aligned to client requirements and site constraints.
• Select, lead and motivate multi‑disciplinary teams of internal specialists and external partners.
• Coordinate activities to keep projects on programme, within budget and to high quality and safety standards.
• Monitor progress, manage change and provide accurate reporting to stakeholders and clients.
• Identify, assess and mitigate project risks to ensure on‑time delivery.
• Drive continuous improvement by implementing lessons learned across future projects.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering complex construction, M&E or technical infrastructure projects.
• Strong track record of managing project budgets and commercial performance.
• Excellent communication skills with ability to engage clients, contractors and technical teams.
• Highly organised with attention to detail and ability to balance multiple workstreams.
• Collaborative, team‑oriented approach with confidence to lead and challenge where needed.

• Salary £40,000–£60,000 per year (depending on experience)
