Property Solicitor – Commercial & Residential (5+ PQE)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Property Solicitor to join a well‑regarded regional law firm in Dorset. The successful candidate will manage a mixed portfolio of commercial and residential property transactions, providing clear, commercially‑focused advice from instruction through to completion.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of sales, purchases, leases, transfers, refinances and landlord‑tenant matters.
• Advise on freehold and leasehold acquisitions, disposals, lease negotiations and renewals.
• Draft and negotiate contracts, leases, transfer documents and title reports.
• Conduct due‑diligence, investigate title and identify legal and commercial risks.
• Liaise with clients, agents, lenders and other stakeholders to ensure smooth transaction progress.
• Oversee post‑completion compliance, registration and regulatory requirements.
• Support business development and maintain strong client relationships.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor in England & Wales with approximately 5+ years PQE in property law.
• Strong experience in both commercial and residential property work.
• Ability to manage a diverse caseload independently.
• Good understanding of SRA regulations, AML requirements and risk management.

Required skills

• Proficiency with case management systems.
• Strong command of Microsoft Office.
