Proposal Manager – Engineering Projects

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Proposal Manager to join our growing engineering business in Stockport. Working closely with the COO and Sales Director, you will lead the preparation of high‑quality tenders, quotations and technical proposals to secure major projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and produce technical and commercial quotations for engineering projects.
• Manage complex tender processes from start to finish.
• Collaborate with engineering and commercial teams to ensure accurate and competitive bids.
• Support senior leadership in shaping commercial strategy and winning national contracts.

Required profile

• Proven experience in proposals, tendering, bids, estimating or commercial support.
• Background in generator, critical power or a related engineering sector is preferred.
• Strong commercial awareness with meticulous attention to detail.
• Confidence in managing complex tenders and working across multidisciplinary teams.
