Purchasing Manager

About the role

We are seeking a commercially‑minded Purchasing Manager to join a successful manufacturing business in Leeds. Reporting directly to the senior leadership team, you will own the procurement strategy and drive improvements across the supply chain.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop the purchasing function, setting strategic direction.
• Manage supplier relationships, negotiations and performance.
• Optimise inventory levels and ensure supply continuity.
• Identify and implement process improvements to boost efficiency, profitability and service levels.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align procurement with business growth objectives.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Purchasing Manager, Procurement Manager or Senior Buyer in manufacturing or distribution.
• Track record of improving purchasing processes and delivering operational efficiencies.
• Strong commercial awareness with solid analytical and financial understanding.
• Ability to influence stakeholders and drive positive change.
