QHSE Advisor – Health, Safety, Environment & Quality

About the role

The QHSE Advisor will support operations in the Scottish Highlands and Huntly, Aberdeenshire, ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality legislation and standards. This senior position leads HSE initiatives, drives continuous improvement and promotes a strong safety culture across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain HSE policies, procedures and management systems in line with UK law, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
• Conduct site inspections, risk assessments, audits and lead incident investigations with root‑cause analysis.
• Manage environmental programmes, waste handling, emissions monitoring and energy‑efficiency initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with CDM regulations, including Principal Contractor duties and lifting planning.
• Liaise with regulators, contractors and internal stakeholders; represent the company at external forums.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years HSE experience, at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role within the UK.
• Strong knowledge of UK HSE legislation, CDM, ISO 14001/45001 and safe systems of work for oil & gas and renewables.
• Full, valid UK driving licence and ability to travel regularly between sites.
