About the role
Prospero Teaching is seeking a qualified teacher to deliver GCSE‑level Maths and English tuition on a part‑time, flexible basis. This temporary position allows you to support young learners while fitting around your existing commitments.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, curriculum‑aligned lessons for GCSE Maths and English.
- Adapt teaching approaches to meet the needs of diverse learners, including those with additional learning needs.
- Monitor student progress, set realistic targets and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain a positive, motivating learning environment.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.
- Experience teaching Maths and/or English at secondary GCSE level.
- Strong subject knowledge and ability to differentiate lessons.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one) and right to work in the UK.
Required skills
- QTS certification.
