About the role

Regency High School is seeking a qualified, creative and dynamic teacher to join our dedicated team. The role involves delivering high‑quality education to pupils with profound, severe or moderate cognitive and learning needs, as well as additional needs.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver lessons across primary and secondary curricula, adapting content to meet individual learning requirements.
• Provide targeted support for students with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), ensuring inclusive classroom environments.
• Collaborate with colleagues, support staff and families to develop and review personalised learning plans.
• Monitor student progress, assess outcomes and maintain accurate records.
• Participate in staff meetings, training sessions and school events as required.

Required profile

• Qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent) with a genuine passion for education.
• Willingness to work with pupils who have diverse cognitive and learning needs.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build positive relationships with students, parents and staff.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and school improvement.

Required skills

• Ability to differentiate instruction and adapt teaching strategies.
• Experience or interest in supporting SEND pupils (not mandatory).
• Effective classroom management techniques.
