About the role
The University Centre Leeds is seeking a Quality Co-ordinator for its Initial Teacher Education (ITE) department. Working closely with senior staff and quality teams, you will help maintain robust quality assurance processes, support regulatory compliance, and drive continuous improvement in teaching and learning.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate quality assurance activities, including surveys, attendance tracking, lesson observations, work scrutiny and mentor engagement.
- Analyse and report on quality data using tools such as Pro Achieve and Power BI to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Support programme and departmental reviews in partnership with the Head of Department, Programme Manager and quality leaders.
- Undertake trainee lesson visits, provide constructive feedback and share best practice to enhance teaching consistency.
- Communicate and promote quality and regulatory standards, embedding curriculum requirements and contributing to professional development initiatives.
Required profile
- Teaching qualification at Level 5 or above, with Level 2 (or higher) in English, Maths and ICT.
- Relevant assessor and IQA qualifications and recent FE delivery experience.
- Strong understanding of quality assurance processes in HE/FE environments.
- Excellent analytical ability to interpret quantitative and qualitative data.
- Outstanding communication and relationship‑building skills with internal and external stakeholders.
