Quality Compliance Technician / Coordinator

About the role

We are looking for a Quality Compliance Technician / Coordinator to join our Quality Compliance team at HQW Aerospace in Plymouth. The role supports product release, First Article Inspection Report (FAIR) preparation and quality documentation while working closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, the Standards Room and Customer Services. You will ensure that quality records are accurate, documentation meets aerospace standards and deadlines are met.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out product release checks to verify products and documentation meet customer and internal requirements.
• Prepare, review and maintain FAIR packs in line with AS9102 standards.
• Maintain accurate, controlled quality records and documentation.
• Coordinate information across Manufacturing, Engineering, the Standards Room and Customer Services.
• Support timely completion of customer, audit and product release requirements.
• Identify discrepancies, follow‑up and escalate issues as needed.
• Assist with internal and external audit activities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and standardisation of quality processes.

• Strong communication skills and confidence to interact with multiple departments.
• Ability to identify issues, ask questions and appropriately escalate concerns.
• Willingness to learn quality systems, standards and processes.
• Good organisational skills with ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
• Proactive, able to work independently and as part of a team.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office or similar document management systems.
• Familiarity with CAD and technical drawings.
