Quality Engineer – Hybrid (London)

About the role

We are seeking a Quality Engineer to join a leading nuclear power organisation in London. The hybrid position involves supporting major projects that contribute to energy security and Net Zero goals. You will work within a collaborative team that values innovation and safety‑critical quality delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Implement Project Quality Control Plans (PQCPs) and Quality Execution Plans.
• Ensure suppliers and contractors comply with quality requirements, CQAPs, ITPs, LTQRs and contractual standards.
• Coordinate inspections, surveillance activities, witness points and testing programmes.
• Support supplier audits and verify completion of corrective actions.
• Review manufacturing, construction and quality documentation, including handover records.
• Monitor non‑conformances, quality issues and lessons learned to drive continuous improvement.
• Report quality metrics and maintain effective stakeholder engagement.

Required profile

• Proven experience in quality assurance/control within nuclear or other safety‑critical industries.
• Strong knowledge of QA/QC across engineering, procurement, manufacturing, construction and commissioning.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 19443, IAEA GSR‑2 and quality management systems.
• Experience conducting supplier audits and managing supply‑chain quality.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and reporting skills.
• HNC/HND, degree or equivalent in engineering, science or a related discipline.
