Quality Inspector

About the role

Armstrong Fluid Technology is looking for a Quality Inspector (Quality Assurance Inspector) based in Droitwich Spa, reporting to the Operations Manager. The inspector conducts detailed inspections, documents results and reports non-conformances, works closely with production teams to resolve quality issues and helps maintain compliance with relevant standards.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect incoming raw materials, in-process items and finished products against engineering prints and standards
• Use precision measurement equipment such as vernier calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMMs and FARO
• Interpret engineering drawings including GD&T and record inspection results, including non-conformance reports
• Work with the quality team to update inspection protocols and procedures
• Resolve quality issues with production teams in real time and take part in root cause analysis
• Ensure compliance with company, industry and international standards such as ISO 9001 and help prepare for internal and external audits
• Recommend process improvements and follow health and safety protocols

Required profile

• Proven experience in quality assurance within a manufacturing or engineering environment
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings including GD&T
• Knowledge of ISO 9001; experience of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 is advantageous
• Qualified internal auditor certification (ISO 9001)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with HVAC systems and/or controls systems is desirable

• Strong IT skills for documentation, data analysis and report generation
