Quality Inspector - Night Shift

About the role

The Quality Inspector will work the night shift at Boeing's Sheffield facility, supporting the production of flight‑critical hardware for Boeing Commercial Airplanes. Reporting to the Quality Manager, the role focuses on ensuring product conformity, investigating non‑conformances, and driving corrective actions.

Key responsibilities

• Review and validate product non‑conformances, disposition types, and quality procedures.
• Support analysis of product, operation, and process quality.
• Participate in root‑cause investigations for non‑conforming plans and hardware.
• Gather data, recommend solutions, and assist in developing corrective/preventive actions.
• Verify that internal replication systems meet company and regulatory standards.
• Conduct audits of media storage and handling per engineering requirements.
• Create airplane‑specific airborne software packages and assist in report generation.

Required profile

• Experience using measurement equipment and inspecting parts for conformance.
• Previous quality‑function experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably aerospace.
• Familiarity with AS9100‑approved facilities and ISO 9001 controlled environments.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Capability to work under general supervision on a night shift.

Required skills

• Measurement equipment operation.
• Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) troubleshooting.
• Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) knowledge.
• Understanding of AS9100 and ISO 9001 standards.
• Basic mathematical computations, including trigonometry, fractions and percentages.
