Radiographer – Central London Major Trauma Centre

About the role

We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated Radiographers to join a Major Trauma Centre (MTC) in central London. You will work within a friendly multidisciplinary team at St Mary’s Hospital, supporting a busy Acute Imaging Centre equipped with a newly upgraded CT scanner and a dedicated Paediatric A&E.

Key responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of imaging procedures across all modalities, including emergency department (A&E) work.
• Operate CT, angiography, and fluoroscopy equipment, and acquire high‑quality X‑ray images.
• Vet imaging request forms for validity and determine the need for repeat or additional projections.
• Administer IV injections in line with departmental policy.
• Report incidents, equipment failures, and maintain accurate documentation.
• Participate in out‑of‑hours on‑call roster and support unsupervised work when required.

Required profile

• Registered with the Health Professions Council (HPC) and a member of the College of Radiographers.
• Demonstrated ability to work flexibly, communicate effectively, and maintain a patient‑focused approach.
• Willingness to engage in continuous professional development and mandatory training.
