Reception Class Teacher (ECT Welcome) – Fixed‑Term

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Reception Class Teacher to cover a 12‑month maternity leave. The role is based at Church Gresley Infant and Nursery School and offers the chance to create a vibrant, language‑rich environment for young learners.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging EYFS lessons that foster confidence, compassion and curiosity.
• Maintain a positive, consistent behaviour management approach.
• Develop strong relationships with parents, carers and the wider school community.
• Contribute to whole‑school initiatives and uphold the Trust’s vision of excellence.

Required profile

• Qualified teacher (newly qualified teachers are welcome).
• Demonstrated experience or training in the Early Years Foundation Stage.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Commitment to creating a supportive, inclusive classroom environment.

Required skills

• Knowledge of EYFS statutory framework.
• Ability to establish a language‑rich indoor and outdoor setting.
