Receptionist/Administrator – Longbridge Community Mental Health Team

About the role

This full‑time position provides the first point of contact for patients, staff and visitors at the Longbridge Community Mental Health Team hub. You will work in a friendly, multidisciplinary environment delivering essential administrative support to a busy mental health service.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome and direct patients, visitors and staff, ensuring a professional and approachable front desk.
• Manage a high‑volume telephone line, answer queries and route calls appropriately.
• Monitor, record and book appointments for the multidisciplinary team.
• Receive, sort and distribute incoming mail, taking appropriate action on correspondence.
• Process clinical letters and other administrative documents accurately and confidentially.
• Liaise with multi‑disciplinary team members, GPs, social workers, service users and external agencies to facilitate smooth service delivery.

Required profile

• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Strong organisational and administrative abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and a courteous, approachable demeanor.
• Experience in a reception or administrative role within a healthcare setting is desirable.
