Recovery Navigator – Supporting People (Part‑time)

About the role

The Forward Trust is seeking a compassionate Recovery Navigator to support people on probation across Sussex. Working 28 hours per week, you will help individuals overcome barriers, rebuild relationships and move towards a healthier future.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one support and facilitate group interventions.
• Assist service users in accessing healthcare, housing and community services.
• Support individuals before release from prison and develop action plans with Probation Practitioners.
• Encourage positive lifestyle changes and healthier relationships.
• Maintain accurate records and uphold safeguarding standards.
• Travel to locations across Sussex, including Brighton, Hastings, Worthing, Crawley, Littlehampton, HMP Ford and HMP Lewes.

Required profile

• Passionate about helping others succeed.
• Strong rapport‑building and trust‑establishing abilities.
• Organised, able to manage caseloads independently and within a team.
• Creative, flexible and solution‑focused.
• Committed to the belief that change is possible.

Required skills

• Experience or transferable skills in support planning, assessments, record keeping or delivering interventions.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Willingness to travel daily across Sussex.
• Full UK driving licence (desirable).
