Recovery Support Worker – Mental Health (Full‑Time)

About the role
The Recovery Support Worker will join the brand‑new Recovery House service, a flagship mental‑health crisis offering commissioned by the Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health Trust. Working 37.5 hours per week on a permanent basis, you will help deliver a safe, person‑centred 24/7 environment for service users in acute mental‑health distress.
Key responsibilities
- Provide continuous, high‑quality support to service users during night and weekend shifts.
- De‑escalate mental‑health crises in partnership with NHS clinical teams.
- Maintain compliance with CQC standards and internal policies.
- Contribute to service‑user assessments, care plans and multidisciplinary meetings.
- Support the Waking Night team to ensure seamless hand‑over and safe service delivery.
Required profile
- Experience working in a CQC‑regulated residential or supported‑living setting.
- Demonstrated ability to build rapid, trusting relationships with service users.
- Commitment to the Recovery Model and person‑centred mental‑health care.
- Willingness to work a rota that includes evenings and weekends.
Required skills
- Knowledge of CQC regulations and NHS mental‑health pathways.
- Understanding of crisis de‑escalation techniques.
- Ability to document and report information accurately.
