Recycling Operative – Part-time (20 hrs/week)

About the role

Veolia is seeking a part-time Recycling Operative to join its household waste recycling centre in Padworth, Reading. Working 20 hours per week on a rolling rota, you will help provide an efficient recycling service to local residents while supporting the company’s Ecological Transformation mission.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver effective recycling services to residents at the municipal refuse and recycling centre.
• Assist members of the public with waste and recycling disposal.
• Operate the weighbridge system and related plant equipment.
• Maintain a clean and safe facility, promptly cleaning any spillages.
• Support other operational tasks as required.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a customer-facing operational environment.
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks and work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Required skills

• Weighbridge operation.
