Refuse Loader / Recycling Operative – Part‑time (AM shift)

About the role

This position involves loading refuse and recycling bins onto collection vehicles during the morning shift (Monday‑Friday, 6:00 am‑2:30 pm). You will work closely with drivers and maintain a courteous, professional relationship with the public and colleagues while supporting the efficient collection of waste.

Key responsibilities

• Load and secure refuse and recycling bins onto collection trucks.
• Assist drivers in the safe and timely collection of waste.
• Maintain cleanliness and order around the loading area.
• Follow health and safety procedures at all times.
• Attend mandatory induction and any required training.
• Report any equipment issues or operational concerns promptly.

Required profile

• Positive attitude and reliable work ethic.
• Ability to work early‑morning hours consistently.
• Good communication skills for interacting with the public and team members.
• Physically fit to handle loading tasks.
• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
