Regional Finance Controller – London

About the role

Atoms is seeking a Regional Finance Controller to lead finance operations across the European region from its London office. You will be responsible for month‑end close, financial reporting, compliance and supporting the company’s rapid growth in physical AI and robotics.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee month‑end closing activities across Europe, including journal entries, accruals, fixed‑asset tracking, depreciation and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Manage all accounting functions such as billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger and revenue recognition.
• Ensure compliance with local statutory requirements, US GAAP and IFRS throughout the region.
• Act as the primary contact for audits and tax filings and coordinate regulatory reporting.
• Lead elimination and consolidation processes, preparing financial statements and management reports for the EMEA region.
• Maintain and standardise the Chart of Accounts across all legal entities.
• Develop, maintain and enforce internal controls and company policies.
• Research technical accounting issues to ensure compliance.
• Identify automation opportunities for finance, invoicing and payroll applications and design future reporting solutions.
• Collaborate with Facilities, Operations and Real Estate teams to standardise collection and payment processes.
• Prepare monthly management reporting packages, including variance analysis, cash‑flow management and forecasting.
• Support budgeting, re‑forecasting, special projects, ad‑hoc reporting and M&A integration activities.

Required profile

• Significant experience in finance and accounting within a multinational environment.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS and local statutory reporting requirements.
• Proven ability to manage audits, tax filings and regulatory reporting.
• Experience with consolidation, elimination and preparation of financial statements for EMEA.
• Demonstrated skill in developing internal controls and standardising chart of accounts.
