Regional Legal Director – Commercial Property (Senior Solicitor)

About the role

The Legists are seeking a senior Commercial Property Solicitor to lead their northern region. This Legal Director will shape the strategic direction of the property team, deliver high‑quality legal services and support business growth across Gloucestershire and the wider South West.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a high‑performing commercial property team, providing guidance and development opportunities.
• Manage a varied caseload covering leases, sales, purchases and re‑mortgages for both registered and unregistered, leasehold and freehold properties.
• Drive business development initiatives, building lasting client relationships and enhancing the firm’s regional reputation.
• Oversee time‑management, organisation and the use of IT tools, ensuring efficient case handling.

Required profile

• Minimum of 10 years post‑qualification experience (PQE) in commercial property law.
• Proven ability to manage, mentor and inspire a legal team.
• Strong organisational and time‑management skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience using case management systems.
