Regional Sales Manager – Defence (UK & Ireland)

About the role

We are seeking a Regional Sales Manager to lead new‑business development across the UK & Ireland defence market. The role is remote‑based in the UK and involves up to 50% travel to engage with key OEMs and Tier‑1 partners.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and convert multi‑million‑pound opportunities within the defence sector.
• Lead complex bidding processes, including specifications, compliance and negotiations.
• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of new business across connectors, switches, cables and electronic solutions.
• Collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to deliver tailored, solution‑led offerings.
• Develop long‑term programme relationships and cross‑sell across the portfolio.

Required profile

• 10+ years of proven sales experience in the defence industry.
• Demonstrated success in new‑business origination and conversion.
• Experience working with OEMs and Tier‑1 defence organisations.
• Deep understanding of bidding processes, programme cycles and compliance requirements.
• Engineering degree (Mechanical or Electrical) preferred or strong technical fluency.
• Commercially driven and able to thrive in a high‑performance environment.
