Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Home

About the role

The Registered Manager leads a children’s residential home in Greenwich, delivering safe, high‑quality, child‑centred care. Reporting to the Responsible Individual, the role ensures compliance with Ofsted registration and Children’s Homes Regulations while fostering a therapeutic environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain Ofsted registration and ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory standards.
• Lead day‑to‑day operations, including staffing, rotas, budgets and resource management.
• Supervise, motivate and develop the care team through recruitment, induction, training and performance management.
• Oversee care planning, risk assessments, behaviour support strategies and placement matching.
• Build and maintain partnerships with local authorities, families, education providers and health professionals.
• Ensure accurate record‑keeping, reporting, audits and quality assurance.
• Lead safeguarding investigations, incident management and complaints handling.
• Promote continuous improvement, reflective practice and professional development.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing a children’s residential home or similar setting.
• Strong knowledge of Ofsted registration processes and Children’s Homes Regulations.
• Ability to lead and develop multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication and partnership‑building skills.
