Registered Midwife – Flexible Locum Shifts in Gloucester

About the role

We are seeking experienced Registered Midwives to provide flexible, locum support across NHS maternity, labour, and birthing units in Gloucester. This role offers a variety of shift patterns to suit your lifestyle while delivering high‑quality care to mothers and newborns.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive midwifery care in maternity wards, labour suites, and delivery rooms.
• Monitor fetal wellbeing and support women during labour and birth.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe and compassionate care.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to NHS policies.

Required profile

• Valid NMC registration as a Registered Midwife.
• Minimum six months of recent UK maternity experience.
• Right to work in the United Kingdom.
• Occupational health clearance and up‑to‑date immunisation records.
• Current mandatory training certificates (e.g., DBS, NMC revalidation).
