Registered Nurse – Bank

About the role
Join Avery Healthcare’s award‑winning team at St Giles Care Home in Birmingham as a Bank Registered Nurse. You will act as the person in charge, stepping in for the manager when required, and deliver high‑quality, compassionate care to our residents on a 12‑hour shift pattern.
Key responsibilities
- Administer medication, dressings, catheterisation and tube feeding.
- Manage chronic medical conditions and conduct accurate assessments and care planning.
- Communicate changes in residents’ condition to families and GPs.
- Supervise and deploy care‑team staff to ensure all tasks are completed during your shift.
- Stand in for the manager, upholding high standards of care and safety.
Required profile
- First‑level nursing qualification with current NMC registration.
- Minimum two years of nursing experience, preferably in elderly or residential care.
- Post‑basic studies or additional qualifications relevant to adult care.
- Strong interpersonal skills, able to instruct and support team members.
- Commitment to the values of caring, supportive, honest, respectful and accountable.
