Registered Nurse – Bank (Mental Health)

About the role

As a Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN/RNLD) on a bank basis at a Barchester care home, you will provide compassionate, person‑centred care to residents with a focus on mental health and dementia. You will work alongside a multi‑disciplinary team to ensure each resident’s dignity, safety and wellbeing are upheld.

Key responsibilities

• Support new residents to settle in and develop individualised care plans.
• Deliver a range of clinical tasks, including medication administration and health monitoring.
• Conduct detailed risk assessments and maintain accurate care documentation.
• Provide specialist mental‑health expertise to the team and residents.
• Cover staffing gaps for annual leave, sick leave or other temporary needs.

Required profile

• Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
• Strong knowledge of up‑to‑date clinical practices, especially dementia care.
• Experience creating comprehensive care plans and risk assessments.
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as DoLs/MCA and Royal Pharmaceutical guidelines.
• Dedicated, compassionate and person‑centred approach.
