Registered Nurse – Care Home (Guernsey)

About the role

We are seeking a passionate Registered Nurse to join an exceptional care home in Guernsey, Channel Islands. You will deliver person‑centred care to residents, ensuring their physical, social and psychological needs are met while supporting their independence and quality of life.

Key responsibilities

• Assess residents’ needs and wishes, develop and update personalised care plans.
• Oversee medicine management on each shift, ensuring safe receipt, storage and administration in line with policy and legislation.
• Promote a positive reputation by communicating warmly with families, visitors and external stakeholders.
• Ensure a seamless resident experience from admission through discharge.
• Participate in inspections (RQIA, Trusts, CCGs) and maintain readiness of the team.
• Manage risks proactively and report issues according to legal and regulatory guidelines.

Required profile

• Qualified Registered Nurse with an active NMC PIN.
• Experience delivering nursing care in the elderly health‑care sector.
• Ability to work under pressure while motivating a team.
• People‑management experience and familiarity with quality and clinical governance programmes.

Required skills

• Proficient use of IT and communication systems required for nursing documentation and coordination.
