Registered Nurse – School Nursing (Milton Keynes)

About the role

The Milton Keynes School Nursing Service is seeking a qualified or soon‑to‑qualify Registered Nurse to join its 0‑19 Children’s Universal Health Service. You will work within a dynamic, multidisciplinary team delivering the Healthy Child Programme to school‑aged children and their families across Milton Keynes.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with partner agencies to deliver the Healthy Child Programme and safeguard children.
• Manage a clinical caseload, conduct holistic assessments and identify health, parenting and environmental needs.
• Develop, implement and evaluate health‑promotion programmes and evidence‑based advice.
• Work alongside locality School Nurses, undertaking delegated tasks and exercising independent initiative.

Required profile

• Qualified nurse or student nurse due to qualify with a passion for public health.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a skill‑mixed team.
• Commitment to safeguarding children and delivering high‑quality care.
