Registered Nurse/Paramedic – Forensic Custody (Banbury)

About the role

Mountain Healthcare, a leading provider of forensic custody healthcare, is recruiting Registered Nurses and Paramedics to work within police custody suites in Banbury. The role offers full accredited training, autonomy, and the chance to make a direct impact on detainee welfare and the criminal justice process.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct clinical assessments to determine fitness for detention, interview, charge and release.
• Respond to acute medical episodes and provide immediate healthcare advice.
• Support safeguarding decisions and collaborate with custody teams, police officers and partner agencies.
• Collect and preserve forensic samples, document injuries and maintain accurate clinical and evidential records.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse or Paramedic with at least three years’ experience in an acute setting.
• Ability to work autonomously and make independent clinical decisions.
• Willingness to engage in fast‑paced assessments and varied shift patterns.
• No prior forensic or custody experience required; training will be provided.
