Reinsurance Broker Support Apprenticeship 2027

About the role

Howden Re, the reinsurance division of Howden, is offering a Level 3 Insurance apprenticeship for 2027 in London. You will join on a permanent role and complete an 18-month development programme, earning £28,000. The apprenticeship starts in September 2027 and is based in the office at least 4 days a week, with the expectation that you live within commuting distance.

Key responsibilities

• Work in the Broker Support and Operations team alongside experienced colleagues and gradually take on more responsibility.
• Support day-to-day tasks that keep the business running smoothly.
• Keep client records accurate and up to date.
• Support the administration of insurance policies and contracts, including updating records and processing documentation changes.
• Support projects, carry out data checks and help improve how work is done.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the business to deliver good service to clients.
• Help prepare performance reports using information such as income, budgets and team results.

Required profile

• No insurance experience is needed; training is provided.
• Full and unrestricted right to work in the UK.
• Lived permanently in the UK for the last 3 years.
• Grade C/4 in GCSE English and Maths.
• Not already holding a qualification that significantly overlaps with this apprenticeship.
• Curious, organised, detail-oriented, a clear communicator and a practical problem solver.
