Relationship Director – Corporate Clients (Yorkshire & North East)

About the role

We are seeking a Relationship Director to lead a portfolio of corporate clients in Yorkshire and the North East, based in Leeds. The role focuses on delivering exceptional client experience, driving growth and ensuring robust risk and governance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and grow a portfolio of corporate clients, achieving revenue and profitability targets.
• Develop tailored funding and lending solutions in partnership with Credit Risk, Portfolio Management and Treasury teams.
• Act as a trusted adviser, building long‑term relationships with clients and business introducers.
• Ensure compliance with credit policies, regulatory frameworks and financial crime standards.
• Identify new business opportunities and lead acquisition, retention and cross‑selling initiatives.
• Coach and mentor Relationship Managers to enhance capability and share best practices.
• Champion digital tools such as Salesforce and nCino to improve onboarding, data integrity and client experience.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing corporate banking relationships and delivering growth.
• Strong understanding of credit risk, portfolio management and treasury products.
• Ability to navigate regulatory and financial crime requirements.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
