Relationship Manager (Invoice Finance)

About the role

Our client, a leading independent provider of financial services to businesses, is seeking a Relationship Manager to oversee a portfolio of Invoice Finance facilities across the South East of England. Based in Southampton, you will be responsible for maintaining strong client relationships, ensuring profitable outcomes and supporting the growth of the business.

Key responsibilities

• Build and develop relationships with a mixed portfolio of clients to maximise retention and achieve contract renewals.
• Support Relationship Executives in maximising funding availability and manage daily client interactions.
• Conduct regular client reviews, visits and audits to manage risk and recoveries.
• Prepare and contribute to monthly portfolio review meetings and risk strategy discussions.
• Make funding decisions within credit authority, set invoice funding, concentration and credit limits.
• Lead onboarding of prospective clients, coordinating with sales and underwriting teams.
• Assist new business development through deal structuring and efficient communication with sales.

Required profile

• Proven experience in Invoice Finance or commercial lending.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to manage risk and profitability.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Ability to work independently and support a collaborative team.
