Relief Care Worker

About the role

As a Relief Care Worker you will step in to provide high‑quality, person‑centred care for residents when needed. The role offers flexible shifts that fit around other commitments while making a positive impact on residents' daily lives.

Key responsibilities

• Support residents with personal care and daily living activities
• Assist with meals and encourage healthy nutrition and hydration
• Promote independence and support individual choices
• Encourage participation in activities and social opportunities
• Provide companionship, reassurance and emotional support
• Build positive relationships with residents, families and colleagues
• Maintain accurate records and uphold high standards of care

Required profile

• Compassionate, patient and flexible
• Genuine desire to help older people
• Comfortable working in different situations and as part of a team
• Willing to hold or work towards an SVQ Level 3 in Social Services and Healthcare
• Member of the PVG Scheme and registration with the SSSC
